Firmware & versions
What's running.
The builds on the node, the gateway, and the app — what each version changed, and how an update reaches a sensor sitting out in the back forty. We're still pre-launch, so these are beta builds; the version that ships will land here too.
How an update reaches each piece
Three devices, three honest paths. A node has no internet of its own, so your phone carries the update the last few feet.
The node — over Bluetooth
A field node has no internet, so the update rides over Bluetooth from your phone. Walk within about 30 feet, keep the app open, and start it by hand. If the link drops, the node keeps the build it had — nothing breaks, you just start over.
The gateway — over Wi-Fi
The gateway sits on your home Wi-Fi, so it pulls and installs its own updates — signed and verified before anything runs. It picks a quiet moment and never drops a reading mid-update. You don't have to lift a finger.
The app — from the store
The app updates the way every app does — through the App Store and Google Play, or just refresh the web version. Turn on automatic updates and you'll always be current without thinking about it.
Release notes
Every build, newest first. Node Home App tell you which piece changed.
- Push firmware to a node straight from the app over Bluetooth, with a clear "you can stop any time, nothing breaks" flow.
- New Map tab — every node placed on a topographic view of your property, with live link lines back to the gateway.
- Node settings tidied into collapsible groups so a long node config reads at a glance.
- Both probe ports take any sensor — plug a frost, soil-moisture, or pressure probe into either jack, then pick the sensor type for that port in the app.
- Gateway now flushes its outage backlog faster on reconnect, and marks every catch-up reading so it never trips a late alarm.
- Fixed a rare case where a node on a weak link would re-send the same reading twice.
- Pick which sensor leads the node screen — any probe can take the big gauge and chart.
- Export your readings to CSV or Excel — pick the nodes, the date range, and download a real file.
- Frost & environmental monitoring end to end — node to gateway to phone, over LoRa.
- Set-your-line freeze alerts by push and email, with the one-alarm-plus-one-reminder model.
- Bluetooth pairing, Wi-Fi setup, and offline "BLE direct" access to a nearby node.
Node gone quiet after an update?
A dropped Bluetooth link mid-update never bricks a node — it keeps the build it had. Walk back within ~30 feet and run it again, or write us and we'll talk you through it.
